hmmm... I was just about to start that too.

On a side note, The Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie is pretty good. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes the humour of Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams, but in a slightly more realistic and serious setting.

I liked it. One of Stephen Fry's books that I read, can't remember the name, was of a similar style.

It's only ~250 pages, half the length of Rides a Dread Legion. A poor effort indeed.

I'm reading something called White Noise by some guy. It's about a lecturer who sets himself up as a senior lecturer on Hitler Studies and can't speak German. His friend sets up a university course on car crashes in American cinema. His wife is cheating on him to get in on a drug trial of a pill that is supposed to cure the fear of dying. The story is actually pretty boring, but I can read chapter after chapter because he is so awesome at describing the minutiae of every little experience. In fact, were it not for his attention to detail I'm sure you could get this story into a tourist information pamphlet.

Yeah, Bose, you've really sold that book to me there. That "attention to detail" was one of the (many) reasons I couldn't stand Dan Browne's books.

Dan Brown's writing makes me want to punch things. He is part of a collection of authors who write badly and get paid far too much money for it. They make me angry.

Anyway.
Things I am reading? The Dragon Age books (Stolen Throne makes me love Maric and understand Loghain, wtf DG, that's not fair) and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
