About missile

I've recieved two PM's from Jaffa and bikemancs complaining about missile's latest antics. Included in the PMs were copies of the Shoutbox where missile wrote sexually explicit statements concerning other Gaters.net members.

In addition, two of the most recent threads sent to the Removed Threads folder have been creations of his. He presented one with a pornographic theme on the hopes that he would inflame someone enough to cast an insult, then he eagerly pounced upon it to create a flame war. That is the trademark of a troll. His second attempt was hardly was well thought out?taking ill advantage of the international nature of Gaters.net and trying to divide people along lines behind national pride. The sole purpose of that thread was to promote disharmony.

missile has been steadily pushing against the ethical line. His continued actions hold no promise of improving.

missile's actions will only escalate. He started out with a braggart's trivia gambit and only gotten worse from there. He's posted porn once?actually twice?when will he cross the line in your book? When he finds the "tubgirl" url and spams it across all threads?

I don't have a problem with his threads, his first was a copy+pasted email joke thread and even though it's probably not that topical for this forum he did put a 'mature audiences' warning, and his intelligence thread was damn cool, I have no idea why it was closed.
The shoutbox thing is a little over the top, but people are always spamming rude stuff in there. Best thing is to just flush it out with a bunch of 'comments'

RH - i didn't get that either, but i've had a few complaints about various things from Jaffa, some including missile.

I've been reluctant to do anything about the missile problem.

The shoutbox stuff is kinda.. well.. almost untouchable. It's easy to flush the shit away, but other than that, its hard to control. Other members have gotten away with stuff in the Shoutbox, including mods. I dont think there is much we can do.

As for the threads -

I didn't read the British spy one, except when it was reported. We've had a lot of dissent over nations before, a good lockdown is all it needs. If he was trying ti delibrately trying to provoke an argument and create a divide - well, there are enough smart and mature people around here that would put it rights.

The 'porno' thread... and its re-emergance in the 'email jokes' thread is.. well.. i dont know. I can see how people might find this funny, and i guess if the thread has some sort of warning on it then.. well i dont know (this is the problem with the shoutbox - there is no 'filter' there, and you have no choice but to read it). It's hard to draw the line. Some people can get away with it, others cant.

Missile is an ass and a trouble maker, i agree. He doesn't piss me off as much as other members i wont name *coughAnubiscough* but he has nothing good to contribute, and i do agree that action should be taken in some form.

As for the 'retards' comment..... Doesn't matter if you like them or not, we have a responsibilty here to *all* members.
