Just don't try to be smart, memorise everything in teh entire syllabus and the cunts can't catch you out.

On my course we have an exam at the end which is on everything you've learnt in all 4 years. The problem is that they can ask you anything they like that's loosely related to the course. It doesn't matter whether it's on the syllabus or not, they can ask anything that tickles their fancy. Some of the questions are just completely random.

Yeah. I've worked my way through the 3 they have given us. There are a couple of questions that have come up twice, some which are just really random and others that are quite sensible given what we're supposed to be studying.

Example: Describe the anatomy of the ventricular system, identifying the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and critically evaluate how knowledge of the above influences the treatment of patients with medulloblastoma.

Theoretically, questions could be asked on absolutely anything in the syllabus, but practically they are more likely to ask questions related to anatomical sites that are treated with radiotherapy, which narrows it down - albeit a very little.

Bose - I'm attempting that as we speak... although I'm paying particular attention to the questions that have come up before. I need 50% to pass so if 2 questions come up that I can answer well, I'll only need to write bits and pieces for the other 2.

Kat - ok, so yours is definitely worse.

I forgot to mention that ours is a viva style exam. While it sucks being put on the spot, if you get to the stage where they're asking you random ass crap then you can be pretty sure you're doing well. On one of my stations they ran out of bizarre questions and we just started chatting about what pub I was planning to go to after the exam.
