I would prb say its a power relating to Shinji's Zanpaktou. Gotta remeber, alot of the Vaizard swords are still unknown, so we have no idea what they are all capable of.

Or, more likely, Shinji was Aizen's captain when he learned Shiki so in much the same fashion that Kaien/Aaroneiro was able to be beatdown on Rukia, Shinji is able to beatdown on Aizen.

Yeah but the flip side of that is that nobody can use their zanpakto in it's released state. Well, now we know that Kensei isn't as hardcore as Kenpachi.

In a word: Yes. It get particularly interesting at around the 20th episode. You won't be able to stop watching it if you make it to episode 58. Once all the ridiculous introductory nonsense is over and they get to fighting in Soul Society it's pretty much all gold.

Truth be told I wasn't in love with it from the start but when Kisuke (sandal-hat guy) arrives to save the day it's always good.
