Once more, seriously awesome rack.

Okay episode, hope it gets better but if they think unlikeable characters make it like BSG, they're wrong.
Young needs to be a good guy, can they pull that off when everyone hates him/distrusts him? It's not like he's shown Adama like chops either so foibles are more difficult to forgive.

Chinese woman is beginning to get on my nerves too. Stupid cow.

I agree that "working" to get the story sucks, but the key to good storytelling is to get your audience to ask more questions (good questions, like "What would have happened if it went this way instead of that?", not bad questions like "What the fuck happened there?").

If you give them all the answers, if you reveal everything plain as day, the audience takes up the info, packs it into their heads, and then walks away from the work. If asked what happened, they'll parrot back that story as it unfolded onscreen— as if that was all that there was to say on the subject.

How can you sell a sequel if no one is wondering about what happened in those moments that didn't appear onscreen?

Of course it's good storytelling to not reveal everything up front, but you have to keep the curiosity levels high about what hasn't been shown. When it's just some angst between two teenagers - who *really* cares? There are plenty of fantastic examples of stories that very purposefully didn't show much but we could still appreciate the backstory when we needed, such as Tape (2001) by Richard Linklater, and Reservoir Dogs (1992) by Tarantino.

Actually I did enjoy last week's ep Divided, reminded me a lot of an SGC based SG-1 ep. Can't fault it very much, and in many ways some of the annoying boring bits of the previous eps paid off for me there. Although every ep being effectively about deception and mistrust is still a problem for me. There was still a lack of exposition in some parts that made me confused while watching the ep.

It was nice to see Dr Brightman (Stargate SG-1, Season 8, "Lockdown") again.

Tape, good film. Watched up to Faith, which was a massively weird and crap episode, but I still enjoyed it. I'm kinda annoyed that they just used a whole ep to set up other eps. It felt like I was watching a teaser trailer, only with no actual "Next week..." in it. I had to make it up myself.

Still love the show. Much better than other SG before it, though I'll always have a place in my heart of course for SG-1.

Last two eps were great. They actually shot things in daylight, so we could finally see what people look like! And they're not all angry at each other.

I think that mystery planet will be created by them somehow. Manipulating space-time etc...

It's reminding me a lot more of Lost now.
