I read the FAQ. I think one point is unclear...
"DO: Stay on topic.
THIS IS NOT A CHATROOM. It is frustrating to read chit-chat and otherwise meaningless information in a thread about something relating to the original topic ? especailly if the original topic was Stargate related. First and foremost, this is a Stargate forum, and that?s the reason people come here. They don?t want to know what you had for dinner or what car you drive, unless they specifically ask for that information. There is a lot of information here, and not everyone has all the time in the world to read it, so have some consideration, and keep those kinds of posts where they belong."
It says that "It is frustrating to read chit-chat and otherwise meaningless information in a thread about something relating to the original topic". Specifically, the part that talks about "...chit-chat...about something relating to the original topic." Then it gives an example of what "chit-chat" is: "...what you had for dinner or what car you drive...". Sorry, this isn't an example of chit-chat that"...relate[s] to the original topic". So, the FAQ is unclear about posts that DO relate to the original topic, but may be considered non-serious, or a rabbit-trail - but still relate.
This needs to be clarified.
