Bits I liked... 'greek tragedy - who wants that'
'We can only hope that this could be the last footwear to fall'
Mate I laughed soooooooo hard.
Felt like I was watching trek when they landed the ship....what was with the supposedly 'tense' landing scenario.

1st: 'We are inside your unconscious mind.'
Jack: 'You'd think there'd be more lights on.'

1st: 'I never expected you would amuse me.'
Jack: 'I never expected you to put your hand in my head'

HAH. Funny stuff

Did anyone else notice that 1st was from The Bold And The Beautiful. No I don't watch it *hides*

I was ready to bet my money on Hagen Daaz too. Go Teal'c for developing that sense of humour, lol.

And just how surprised was I at Jack leaving a man behind?! Poor 5th! He trusted that Sam wouldn't leave him behind right up until the end...it was so sad. This would've been one of those times where Daniel threw a fit as soon as they'd got back to the ship. *Sniffle* Poor, poor Fifth ...

Pretty good episode I thought.

I loved the bit with the ice-cream. Gave me such a craving for Hagaan Daaz, mmm. And Teal'c not letting Jack have his ice-cream then swapping with him, lol.

Number One was your classic villian with a British accent

The second I saw fifth I knew that Sam's curse was likely to strike again. So hope he comes back and kicks her (and the rest of SG-1s) asses! Those meanies, leaving him behind.

Favourite quote - "Thor forgot to take the need for refridgration into account so we thought we'd start with the frozen stuff first." Good excuse Jonas

Where did the replactor-human guys find food to last for hundreds of years? A spot of cannabalism perhaps?
And wouldn't the lightening hitting the ground of the planet hurt the reps covering it?

Yeah the B&B guy. I was wondering why the first evolved replicator had a british accent

Zats don't harm replicators, so why would lightning?

I don't think Jack counts 5th as a man though. That's the difference. Not just the stakes, but I think it made it easier for Jack to leave him there thinking of him as a 'machine' or whatever.
It made the ending a little bit interesting at least.

i agree with jack. they had to leave him. there was no way he could've come with them cos he was still flawed. it was mean to use his humanity againsty him, exactly like the goa'uld did to the tau'ri countless times, but it was the only way.

i think jack just didn't want to bring himself to think of fifth as human cos then he might've been less willing to leave him behind when he knew he had to.

Argh, just had a thought. I remember reading that when danny went through that whole multiple revival thing the writers decided to make him a bit darker for several episodes after that. Do you think that is happening with O'Niel?

Yes the whole not thinking of fith as human is in character, but his not understanding why Carter does is a little off from normal for him.

Fifth's only flaw WAS his humanity. The replicators don't have that, even in their higher evolved state, so when he was found to possess it, he was deemed flawed. It was by no means a flaw that meant he had to be left behind and a flaw that meant him giving up his own life to save them and their cause.

I'm quite sure Jack did recognise Fifth as a man or as something more than a replicator at least, but he refused to acknowledge it because he'd made the decision to get his team the hell out. It made it easier to call. Sam had the closest connection with Fifth and didn't go against his decision. Neither did Jonas, but they did acknowledge it. Definitely a call that would've been rivalled by Daniel had he still been around.

What I found funny was when they appeared to SG1 in human form and they said they where Replicators, O' Neill didn't like look at the others or question what they had said, he just started blasting away, no questions asked, I weren't expecting it I think I have been watching Trek for too long.

I really like the ep - and just like the rest of you guys, I really liked the Enterprise bit. I did however also feel it was rushed, and that there was a lot of potential there to carry the story on furthur. I was really shocked by the betrayel of 5th - especially the way Carter didnt say anything or do anything remotely protesting against Jack's order, or as they ran away which seemed to me a little unrealistic.
Also - isnt the time bubble just meant to slow them down incredibly in comparison to outside it, not completely stop things, so cant the replicators still deactivate the bubble if fifth agrees to?! Ok - it may take a while in our time to do it, but does that mean they might come back?!

Carter didn't protest the order for a few reasons. In the replicator structure, she gave a slight pause when O'Neill gestured for three minutes instead of five, but she didn't outright question him there because that would've put their mission and their lives in jeopardy.

Also, more importantly, O'Neill is her commanding officer. She's not going to outright question him when he gives her orders. She's a soldier; she obeys. That doesn't mean that she has to like what he tells her to do, and we've seen evidence of that in eps such as "The Other Side," "Scorched Earth," and at the end of "Natural Selection."

The replicators were moving - but so slow it appeared to those outside of it as if they had stopped. The purpose of the time dilation deviced was to slow time down so much that the Asgard would have thousands of years to figure out a solution before one minute had passed for the replicators.

With a rate THAT slow, they're not gonna budge.

I liked the ep, but I watched it really late at night, so I think I'm gonna watch it again.
