Question Harry Potter

I was wondering whether anyone on this forum is a Harry Potter fan?
I think that the books are wonderful and can't wait for the film to come out. I managed to get tickets for the previews of the film for next weekend. So on Saturday November 10th me and my 6 housemates will be off to the cinema to watch Harry at last!

Red face Harry Who-Dini?

You forgot another option!

Haven't read the books and can't stand the fact that there seems to be more Hype over this little jake than the Lord of The Rings.

Anyone else get that when they try to vote? Bah humbug.

I like Harry Potter books. Remind me of these old Enid Blyton ones I used to read when I was little...I'll be seeing the film....

I can't seem to change the poll. It must be because I am not the Moderator of this forum.

The books are for adults and children. All of my friends at University have read them, my whole family have read them and millions of adults around the world have read them.

True- they were originaly meant for children but so was The Hobbitt and The Lord of the Rings. JRR Tolkien originaly told the stories to his children!

I do also read other 'grown up' books you know. Wilbut Smith, happens to be one of my favorite authors along with Reginald Hill and loads more.

I read loads of technical science Archeaology journals and text books every week for my course- Harry Potter is a good escapism book to read to get away from that at the end of the day!

Anyway...I am not saying anymore. I know how you love a good argument!

Has anyone seen Gladiator? Well if you have I am doing what Commodus did when Maximus jumped on the horse with his sword and started killing people.

"ooohhhooohhoohhoo!"

Sounds... interesting ... Indiana, now I really have to watch the film!

Haven't touched the books, but a friend of mine (the one who cries when you mention Armageddon or ER!) is *really* into them ... kinda her Stargate ... and has roped me into going to see it. I saw an interview with ... Hermiony?! (sp) and it didn't look that bad...

Goa'uld, don't try to take the pi** now; you're too vulnerable! We could attack you from all fronts ... lucozade, Mountain Dew, computer systems dropping off trucks...

Well, I listed a whole load of reasons! Mainly that I can't be bothered with the angst, and I'd rather be on the net than watching TV. I'll try and watch it then. It's just premiered on Sky, so it should be on loads...

Anyway, it's totally not science fiction, the star is not remotely attractive and what's the plot? He fights, obviously he wins, fights for his freedom, etc etc, he dies.

Still, I'll watch it anyway...

Not only do I love the books but I took Friday Nov 16 off from work so I can stand in line at the movie on opening night.

'Course, will also be standing in line on Dec 15 (or is it 22) for LOTR, too. But I have fears about LOTR..... looks good, but not sure from the trailers that they've captured the magic of LOTR. But I'll be there.

Dont care to much for Harry Potter.
Not to much on the witchcraft/magic thing, I will probably go see LOTR though my husband has read all the books and is a big fan. I will probably go see it with him. But like I said Im not to much into that, not enough to go see it on my own.
As far as Gladiator goes Im pretty sure I havent seen that either.
which suprises me, between my husband and I we see most movies that come out, I convince him (sometimes/rarely) to go see a movie of my choice and then Il see one of his. So between the two of us we stay pretty up on the movies.
The only movies I refuse to see are Horror movies, which works out great he doesnt care for them either.

OK Im done rambling now
