I'm actually beginning to feel sorry for the guy...ok not sorry as such, but he doesn't deserve to die just yet does he?! You never know, he might bring a breath of fresh air to the SGC - oh, wait, that'd be Daniel - well, he's new and I suppose he ought to be given a very small chance to prove he's a good character to have on the show...

Then, say after a couple of episodes, we can dispose of him.

Then again, everyone might end up liking Jonas - it could happen; it's happened before with Wes in Angel: he was a right idiot to start with, now he comes across much more superhero-y in a geeky sort of way.

Actually I still don't like that guy in Angel, but anyway I don't think I actually said when he should die I just think that if we still don't like him in a couple of eps it would be entertaining to watch him have a few 'accidents'. That's what sci-fi is supposed to be isn't it, entertaining?

speaking if Angel - even much loved characters get the chop after a efw episodes - what about Doyle???? knocked after just 9 episodes! so knowing our luck Jonas will be around for a long time..

I like your idea President Doc. I think Osiris and Jonas deserve each other.

However, I'd really like to see Jack take Jonas on a nice fishing trip, just like Fredo in the Godfather.

Hammond: "Colonel, where's Jonas?"

Jack: "Well, General, he had an unfortunate accident, now he sleeps with the fishes."

For the record, I have nothing personal against Corin Nemec. It's the character of Jonas that I dislike. I can't for the life of me figure out why TPTB introduced his character in Daniel's last episode. Why would you want to associate the new guy with the end of a very popular character? The way it was written virtually guaranteed a sizable portion of the fanbase would dislike Jonas. TPTB should have held off bringing him on board until after the furor over MS leaving died down. NOT the most intelligent business decision I've ever seen.
