did anyone else find the sgc in stargate the movie alittle bit unprotected and why wasnt it marked cheyenne mountain??
daniel just walked in and got straight there
and the first hour wasn't amazing just an intro to abydos
and while on that
why isnt it called that in the film?????

It's best just to think of the movie as happening in a different universe otherwise you'll go nuts trying to competely reconcile the two. There are about 15 differences between the two from big ones (the nature of the goa'uld) to little ones (the name of the mountain complex, spelling of Jack's last name).

The world of Stargate:Sg-1, the TV series, is a universe parallel to our own, one where all languages of alien races coincidentally sounds exactly like English, where P90's have the throwweight and ammo capaicty to saw large logs in half, and where the United States government is touchy-feely in matters of interplanetary politics and has not gone about in the violent or exploitative gathering of mineral resources to the detriment of native populations, nor has the innovative capacity to radiaclly advance in technologies depite being granted access to alien manufacturing.

and before anyone brings up tyler vs charlie again, next time you watch the movie pay special attention to the camera pan across the desk that shows the certificate on the wall. my movie is bad quality, but it LOOKS like the left side of the certificate is obscured by some flowers or something. like perhaps the kid's name is "charles tyler oneil" but only the "tyler oneil" is visible.

yeah, nit picking, but i have an answer for this long standing argument =)

Also its not called the SGC in the movie it has some name which I can`t remember but I`ll find out when I get back home. Oh and I wish I was a child Rhydderch Hael.

I was set in Creek mountain and I dont think they had a name back then... other than possibly calling it the stargate project but hmm.
Remember, this wasnt really about Earth or the SGC, it was about Ra, Abydos, O'Neil and Jackson.
