This was the line that made me comment oFFal.. And I guess if you go to every single thread then it certainly would become annoying..... but if like me, you only have specific threads you visit and post on, getting an email notification of these can be handy. You can keep the facility on, visit and merely read other threads without getting a notification. But as soon as you post, you will.

Actually, I happier w/out e-mail notification too. Can always checkout the active/new posts thingy ...

I liked that hot/virgin/active topics thingy we had at the old gaters. No chance of getting that back then?

Someone pointed out that the new/virgin/hot topics thing may have stopped people posting on older threads, which isn't good. I remember that people only kept replying to the top 5 or so posts, neglecting the others. I am having second thoughts about putting that back, especially with the reliability of the new image that is displayed on threads you haven't read since they changed.

So people are being emailed by the forum? Any ideas on how to turn that one off Offal?
