I really enjoyed watching this episode. Loved watching the interaction among SG1. Thought this show was a cross between Foothold and Rules of Engagement. Smart idea to start training our cadets for off-world missions. I wonder if Hammond gave us a hint about next season with an off-world training facility.

Thought the humor so entertaining.

I was wondering if anyone knows what floor Sam's office is on. They mentioned that Daniel's office was one floor up.

Did you notice there was one cadet who got whumped all the time?

clever episode, lots of coool action, i love it!!! got to see the colonel being wrong hypocritical, and actually admitting it to carter in private.
kept ya guessing till the end.

I see they changed the name of the nano-whatsits again.

Oh, man I remember reading on Starguide that the US, or more importantly me , will not be getting the rest of season 5 till FEBRUARY . Some day I'll be able to talk about these episodes...someday.

I finally saw Proving Ground, (on a lousy little download - damn you Showtime!).


PRO:

1. Jack acted like an intelligent leader for the first time in ages.

2. Cadet in love with Daniel. Cute (and easily believable).

3. No romance or conspiracies!


CON:

1. Teal'c got what, 4 lines?

2. Not enough SG1, felt like a spinoff.

3. Haley. Granted, I didn't feel the same loathing I felt for Anise, but she really irritated me. I was hoping her teammates would be pissed that she had been in on the fact it was a training exercise. (I really wanted to see a Full Metal Jacket style beatdown, but was sadly disappointed. H'm, I sense a fanfic idea.)

Overall, a fairly decent episode.

BTW, is it me, or has AT lost weight? She's starting to look downright frail.
