neith, for starters - you can EASILY change your location in your profile.. click "USER CP" (control panel) and then edit your profile from there (I think its edit options or something).

The only people that knew about this were the moderators. That's 700 other people that didn't receive prior warning.

Also, as an older member of the Gaters community I would have thought you'd realised that this belongs in Off Topic? Which is where it is heading right now.

I told the moderators that I was considering vBulletin. I didn't end up putting it up until the web host shut down the domain because the forums had grown too big -- this came as a surprise to me too.
I really had no choice in deleting the threads, so I took the oppurtunity to implement vbulletin.
