I feel the writers didn't get the whole "queen Goa'uld" concept fully pegged down when they did the episode "Hathor". There's that whole "host" DNA thing she needed from Danny, but also there's the nagging little fact that the Goa'uld resides in the host's head, quite a ways away from the reproductive structures needed to spawn lil' baby Goa'ulds. Are we to infer that a queen Goa'uld, lodged against the brain stem of a human, was able to spawn several dozen larvae without?say?causing said human's head to explode?

Maybe the queen is bigger than the simple Goa'uld Symbiote. Perhaps the queen actually looks like what Ra looked like in the movie? This queen inhabits the body of a creature and spawns smaller snakelike creatures that will also inhabit other creatures that can be easily created a whole lot quicker and take up less space. Maybe this theory is in the early stages, but it does have roots in making the series somehow concied with the movie which is not really the idea of this topic, but when I read the above post this idea popped into my head.

I like the theory Indiana. While, naturally, a lot of the 'mythology' is being made up as the writers go along, and us poor fans are trying to make it all gell together after the fact, I think it works. A queen goa'uld would be biologically different from the drone goa'ulds, so it would make sense that she would look different and blend with her host differently.
