I don't know about you, but that scene reminded me of the Star Trek TOS episode 'Spock's Brain', where some psycho chick stole Spock's brain to run her computer system and Kirk and McCoy heard his disembodied voice.

All in all a much better ep than I expected. Thankfully, Corky was nowhere to be seen. This may not sound fair, but I've only seen him in 3 things, and each time he played a character who was either disturbed, an amoral hustler, or just plain evil. The funny thing is, he played each character exactly the same, (the same mannerism, vocal tones, etc.) When I saw him in Meridian, I naturally assumed he was a creepy little weasel. I just can't see him as Daniel's replacement.

Just finished watching the ep. It was okay, had its moments, but Jack's dense-ness is really getting to me. By the sound of Carter's remarks, his humor is getting to her too.

I'm wondering if Jack may contain some of Daniel's essence. One of his sentences and the way he stood at the end reminded me a little of Daniel.

Actually, I thought there were a number of references to other sci-fi shows. This Anuibus looked like the Master (?) in Star Wars. The preserved Asgard looked like the Borg Queen. The device in Thor reminded me of Farscape when Crichton had that device implanted in his brain. The Carter holigram reminded me of Andromeda.

That outfit of Osiris reminded me of an early Madonna.

Venus, back in the late 80's, early 90's, there were about 6 or 7 young actors named Corin/Corey. I definitely recall him being referred to as Corky, probably to distinguish himself from the pack.

(My god, I know waaayyy too much trivia.)
