I know. I *so* don't watch it now. I seem to remember all the women being really young pretty and smart, and all the guys being alcoholics, corrupt and old.

Not going to re-iternate what everyone said (much). This was fun, but maybe the most fun was finally seeing a new episode after far too long! I knew it was all a fake from the start, though - only had about 2 seconds of doubt with the Haley in the gateroom/radiation bit, but Jack and Hammond were far too calm. The scene where the cadets walk in on Jack freeing the SF, and Jack and Sam communicate with their eyes, Jack telling Sam to think of something quick to explain his actions and keep the scenario going -- and then she gets to shoot him! First she beans Hammond (in Hathor), now she shoots Jack, plus her status as black widow, she's sure tough on the men around her.

I loved the scene in the cafeteria, with Jack and Sam eating jello and calling Halley "a 4 foot nine bundle of energy" or somesuch. And that cadet with the crush on Daniel, and him bumping her with his shoulder, awww, that was cute.

It was good seeing Jack as a hard-assed commander, chewing out the recruits. But where was poor Chris Judge this one?
