In Summit, Daniel commented on the two female Goa'ulds: "Bastet. Kali the Destroyer. They made a treaty with Sobek...."

Kali is the Hindu goddess of destruction. There's still a cult out there I think.....

Now who could forget the charming and deadly Nurrti , who coincidentally is also known as "the Hindu goddess of Destruction" (http://isis_athena1690.tripod.com/N.html#Nirty) and "Hindu Goddess of Darkness" (http://www.scifiguide.net/stargate/goauld/nurrti.shtml). Nurrti was mentioned in "Summit". It was said that she is still a "renegade" and most likely will not attend the summit.

Why exactly would there be two goddesses with the same title in the same religion? Talk about repetition!

she looks like a bloke in drag in that picture!
I doubt that web page is the officially accepted listing of gods etc..lol

and im always wary of stargate using Hindu gods, I think they should stick with 'dead' religions, not mass ones, not that anyone seems to have cared, but im sure there would be a bit of letter writing going on if they had the system lord Jesus who opresses billions of slaves! or perhaps the system lord Muhamad, who pretended to be a prophet.... and yes, there are elements of double meanings to my post, but thats not the main point... thered be a bloody furore that happened!

Other than Nurrti and Kali (who is really really new), who were the other Hindu gods? I don't remember any....

Those were the two they used... two is plural, hence gods.
and as for nurti, very obscure, kali is more well known.

Morrigan. Her appearance was, I believe, accurate to mythology.

Not many of you may know this but The Thugee Cult worshipped kali The Destroyer. This was the main focus of Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom. Indiana Jones was sent by the people of a Small Villiage to Pancot Palace where the Villiage said that their children had been taken their by an evil power. Indy later discovered that thugees who worshipped the great God kali had taken the children.

Couple of things to address:

Yep, the writers are treading heavily onto thin ice by making Goa'uld avatars out of deities from living religions. However, if there is a religion around here that would best describe the battles fought by an advanced species, Hinduism is the host to an epic story of war between gods fought in the skies above Earth. Some modern authors have speculated that this Hindu epic in truth describes an alien war.

The Hindu pantheon is a huge one. There's bound to be some overlap. Furthermore, something may be lost in the translation from Hindi to English. I mean, if I were to describe to you a Goddess of Carnage and a Goddess of Destruction, you'd have enough knowledge of the nuances in the English language to differentiate between the two ideas (Carnage speaks of human death, Destruction implies more of property being smashed). You'd know that one Goddess ascribed to one particular brand of destruction over another.

Thirdly, there is no reason why two or more deities would take of the same task. In Celtic pantheons, such aspects are often attended to by Morrigans?Triple Goddesses!
