Carter and teal'c get on quite well. They had some good lines between each other on the Cargo ship in the season five finale. Carter seemed all like she so wanted to cry in that episode as did Teal'c.

AT & CJ have good chemistry between them. At this point, her relationship with Teal'c is the least developed. Indiana, I agree. They made good inroads for future character development in this episode. I'd like to see them pick up on it some more.

Sam and Teal'c. Interesting. Maybe TPTB are afraid the public wouldn't go for it.

I don't think there's any Sam/Teal'c romance implied at all. It's more of a push to show the audience that Sam and Teal'c have developed a friendship through their years working together.

For example, you see a lot of Jack/Teal'c friendship interaction and lots of Sam/Daniel friendship interaction. I think AT meant that she wants her character to show how much her and Teal'c care for each other as colleagues, friends, warriors, etc just as they care for the rest of the team.

It is something that has been neglected and not much pursued in Stargate, but it shows up now and then in episodes such as "Foothold," "48 Hours," "Revelations," and even "Abyss."

I've shot down the idea of a S/J relationship on the basis of their lack of common interests outside of the Stargate. Jack would not consider what Sam sees as 'fun' to be fun at all, and Sam would think what Jack is interested in to be base and unstimulating.

The idea of an S/T romance is even more implausible, for the disparity between the characters is even greater than that with an S/J ship. They are diametrically oppossed on many fundamentals: Sam is a scientist, Teal'c is quite spiritual and religious; Sam's motivations in the SG program are scientific interests, Teal'c's in it for both vengeance and a desire to liberate the oppressed; Sam gets out of a bind by thinking, Teal'c does the same thing by acting.

Sam represents intellect and logic in the team dynamic. Teal'c represents the emotive, intuitive part of the team. She thinks up new and usual solutions. He relies upon the reflexes and training pounded into him.

As friends and compatriots, yeah, they should work that angle more on the show. But Sam and Teal'c gettin' it on as boyfriend and girlfriend?I'd say no.
