PB makes a good Bond I think. He's well able to do another.

Even giving a female version of Bond (much like Jinx or whatever SMG wants to be) their own movie would suck. It would just be that, a female version of James Bond. What's the point?

SMG obviously thinks that all that fighting (I'll use that term loosely) she's done in BtVS has qualified her to be the next Bond. Someone should tell her it's a male role. They already changed the Bond films by making M female. That's enough of the politically correct already.

enough good films get ruined by having to be politicly correct. just look at lotr! I love the job peter jackson is doing, but did he really have to increase the role of the two major women?

bond is male. It's the whole thing about him, he's a gentleman spy. SMG's just being a complete idiot

The reason M is female is because the Head of Mi6 was female back in the mid to late 90's.

Yes Im aware of that, just saying that they could have also kept all the films in the 50's or whenever the books were written.

M becoming female isnt so much about PC'ness IMO, it follows what happened in real life and aslong as Bond stays a guy... no probs.

M seems to have got a more central role too.

Besides, Bond can't be female. It's not like they make a new Bond for every film, it's the same character, just different actors, bar having him have a sex change op, I don't think so

Its odd like that, its best not to say what they do...


Actually, maybe Bond is just the alias of the agent who happens to become 007.
Lots of bonds die or retire and the new one just takes that name.
Of course, there were lots of orphans taken in by the British secret service and trained to be just the same and all given the name James Bond

It is the same character. I read somewhere about some Bond expert they get to make sure Bond has scars in all the right places and stuff like that.

And yet they dont give him the same colour hair

Anyway, I think its open in that funny bart is 10 years old for 13 years kinda way.

Maybe all the new bonds got cut in the same places.

Im sure they do mean it to be the same guy but its not really, each one is unique and its the same character and yet it isnt.

Can m ake excuses for it like alternate universes etc etc.
