farkin rednecks, I hope you lose heaps of army jerks.
at least the gene pool will be slightly disinfected.
Disinfected from what?
I mean, if you're talking about disease...
...the US Army has one of the lowest incidences of disease, is one of the most immunized, and even provides medical care for soldiers and their dependents free.
If you're talking about mental illness...
...Any sort of major mental illness is screened out during enlistment and anything that shows up later, if it isn't curable pretty quickly, is grounds for a medical discharge.
If you're talking about a lack of intelligence...
...There are minimum requirements for the Army and for most MOS's and, ironically, the MOS's that you can be border-line with are the ones furthest in the rear! (Laundry Technician... Food Service... that sort of thing.) Most front line troops have enough technology to operate and technical skills to learn and master that anyone not bright enough to is often forced into either re-classifying or getting out.
If you're talking about a desire for war...
...You have no clue about most soldiers or the society they live in. Soldiers are human beings. Most have families and fears and future plans and are less the warmonger than most civilians.
Very few soldiers hope for war.
Not only do they know they are likely to be the ones to go...
...they have some idea what the risk is.
Some, Forward Observers for example, know they'll be priority targets. Why do they do it? Many reasons. A major one is because someone has to do it and they'd rather do it than have someone else forced into it.
A suggestion...
Search up a book by Alvin Toffler and his wife called "War and Anti-War"...
