Hi! I've been watching SG1 for maybe six months now from syndicated reruns (i think that's third season?) and have fallen in love with this show. I started watching because i loved the movie and rented the first CD of the Season One dvd set. The show finally made sense after seeing the pilot! (I'd tried to watch before, but never could figure it out.) Anyway, since X-Files is over (sob!), I'm ready to jump feet first into SG1. I know, I know, it's almost over too, but there's still a few years of episodes that are all new to me. So on to my questions!

1) what's the best way to see old episodes? do i need to wait until Sci-Fi channel airs them in the fall? i thought I could download some online, but it looks like that isn't going to work out.

2) what episodes are of most importance? i've been reading some episode transcripts online.

3) i love fanfic, but i'm having a hard time figuring out what to read because most of it seems to involve episode spoilers, and since i don't know yet by the title of the ep whether i've seen it or not (most likely not), i'm not sure which fic i can read.

4) what's with all the slash fic? this fandom *seems* to have more slash fic than other fandoms. just an oddity? just curious!

5) where are the best SG1 websites?

6) where can i get some juicy pics of Daniel? :-)

Morpheus was the best, but the new (ish) preview version sucks big time. You can find eps from low qual 20 megs to the HQ fiels that run into 100s of MB.
The launch date of Morpheus 2 has been 'in around 2 weeks' for what seems like forever. I would recommend that you wait until its released. There is KaZaA Media Desktop 1.7 that can be downloaded here , but it has nasty spyware. Morpheus on the other hand doesnt have it.

There are also things like
E Donkey 2000, but i used it once and couldnt make it work proper. Also this is mainly for the high quality eps that run into the hundreds of megs.

And if you want music, Audio Galaxy is the quickest and most reliable i've found.
