As u all no virtualy all of the gods egyptian and other wise, have been impersianted by some form of alien, or the other theory is the aliens were originaly called that and the myths were just based around them, which of course make no sence as a majority of the gods such as Amon Ra and Anbis were good gods, but enough of that. did any one consider that the "GOD" theory as in father of jesus god is nothing but and alien or that god himself was some EXTREMELY advanced alien that had the ablility to create worlds, and ecosystems alike, so what the bible says about him creating the world in seven days could all be true?

i no that the writers of stargate would NEVER go into that depth as they would most likely have to put up with all this crap that churches would give them and so on and so forth, i no this as my mothe and step father are both priests, and the only reason they let me watch stargate was becuase there was no blapheming in it. n e who what do u think?

Well even if God was an alien nothing changes - people will still worship; fight; die; war; whatever.

The only difference would be YOUR understanding of the word "alien". Words are only used to assist understanding. What you do/don't call God (or anything else for that matter) really is irrelevant.

Naa, stargate is based on science so the 7 day thing wouldnt hold, as for the other points, well the writers seem to be able to bring all religions but the abrahamic faiths into it.

Maybe God is the whole load of ascended people, but they work as a whole, and are therefore seen as one entity?

While the link between Sokar and the classic Devil is very far fetched, Baal represents Baalzebub which is another term for Beezebub which IS the devil.

i don't think the writers on the show could show any modern-day religion god as being an alien. Everyone would give them shit for it. and they'd be right. No-one likes the idea that the guy they've been relying on is an alien and hasn't been listening to them (really only counts if the God is a goa'uld or ascended who doesn't keep an eye on the planet any new alien with god-like powers and a nice disposition (i like saying that) might work however. They'd still get shit though.
