maybe he's just a nice guy? or maybe he has different motives (don't know how to spell alteriour) than his goa'uld buddies. could be that he has certain plans for the tau'ri. i mean thay do go around killing all the other system lords, leaving him with less enemies to fight to get to the top. And if he stays out of the tau'ri's way for a bit, he can hatch his own plans with out them interfering?

What makes you say that? Cos we haven't seen him doing anything cruel? You could say the same about Kali Bastet and Morrigan, but I wouldn't think it ...

Though arguing for: Perhaps the fact that the guy he chose to erm... "be"; as told by Daniel in Fair Game, was more or less a nice guy, as opposed ot say Apophis, means something...

Though generally speculating on Yu's character, I don't think we've seen enough to draw any firm conclusions.

Yu = O'Neill's favourite Goa'uld.

My reasons for this are that hes an honourable guy not like most Goa'uld. Another reason is that what he did for Teal'c in The Warrior and kind of saving Daniels ass against Osiris. Also when he starts his war against Anubis and is some how winning.

Once the host no longer uses the sarcophagus s/he starts to rapidly age (if they have been using it over a long period of time like Yu would have). I would think that if a Tok'ra managed to accomplish the near impossible and get in and kill a System Lord and jump ship, surely they'd forsake their no-sarc rule and use it for the benefit of all. I'm assuming having a Tok'ra System Lord would indeed benefit all.

Problem with that idea is if he did use the sarc then he would become a system lord as shown by it's effect on Daniel. More likely that he has a source of willing hosts who look a lot like the original YU. Maybe especially bred to resemble him. This would mean he would not need a sarc and he would be able toappear the same for a long time.
