No, it actually isn't prime. 1337 can be factored as 191 * 7 (they themselves are of course prime.) But 1327 is indeed prime.
Just looking at the two, you would think the 1337 is prime, cause it has all those odd numbers---it just looks like you can't do very much with it, factoring-wise. But it turns out, you can. 1327, you can sit there all damn day trying to divide it by an integer and get some other factor. Forget it.
That's the significance of 1337.
