Is it just me or does Colin Cunningham remind anyone else of Rob Lowe?

Eh, the episodes was so-so. Why didn't 'they' just kill the reporter like they did that last time? Instead they choose to show her everything? Ok then. And what was with the perminant sneer glued to her face?

The builing where the X-303 was hidden has got to be one of the ugliest I have ever seen. Red checkers?!

You've got to admit, seeing a red-checkered building in the middle of the desert was pretty funny. I mean, if you're going to see a top-secret "fusion reactor," you'd probably expect to see some cool high-tech laboratory with glass windows, not a little red-checkered utility house surrounded by a fence.

When you look at it and say "I fusion reactor/spaceship in there - yeah right! haha!" It's exactly what the government WANTS you to think...

I'd be a little hesitant trusting Thor. Having his brain invaded by Anubis, how do we know he's 100% on our side.

Weren't buildings like that used by the military for testing nuclear bombs in the desert?

Among other things...

Buildings are painted like that for high visibility in areas like firing ranges or aerial ranges where there's a hazard of them being mistaken for targets on the ground.

They are also painted certain ways if they are storage for things like fuel, fuel pumps, paints, sometimes munitions and the like...

Ummm... Those words are meant to imply an emotional reaction to what's going on...

...to flavor what he wrote with his state of mind at the time.

It's not a freaking newspaper review!!!

Yeah, ok episode, a bit boring, I woulda actually said "Nope, sorry terrorists, you can kill yourselves if you want" and let them go "I'm sorry, can we give in now?" rather than let them nick the ship, but ah well. Either that or called Mr Thor - Ello sar, some f00 is gonna ruin Nevada, beam them out eh?

It was hidden on a "live ammunitions" field where they supposedly tested explosives. That or a firing range. I forget what exactly it was the sign they passed said.

O.k. how can no one else have commented on this (well kmg did sort of) Has no one else noticed that the x303 is just a re-sprayed battlestar galactica with two extra "thor wannabe" wings glued on.

I hate to break it to you people, but this is the future of the series, theres going to be new titles saying "starring Richard Dean Anderson as Lieutennant Starbuck", and there going to make the gould flick there eyes from side to side (they've already got the robot voice and glowing stuff down)

Finally managed to see the thing. Not bad, could hvae been better. It was Carter focussed at the beginning, which isn't bad, just she was involved in so much techno babble about the ship. I was surprised at the cave in to the reporter and relative lack of security (gun in the camera). Liked the finding parts, building the radio.. as someone noted the frequency selection was amusing. The communication tech on the surface made me think ulurha from the Original star trek.

Simmons is fun sad to see him gone (I'm in the 95% sure he's dead camp). The fight was bad, wierd whatever. I hadn't thought it slo-mo, I thought the actors were moving slowly. It looked very staged and artifical (or at least more so than usual). Carter put up a more realistic fight in the corridor with the bad guys. of course I am watching on sqinty vision. But I think it was just slow moving actors in a very very staged fight. John De Lancie is not exactly you action actor, he is more the intellectual meance, so I though everything was slowed way down for him to cope. Just a thought.

My main nit pick (plot holes aside) beyond what most people had mentioned was when Carter was trying to get to the room that was pressurized so she would survive, the wind was blowing the same way as the door would swing closed. Hence she should have had a huge struggle to open the sucker (it just flew open like it was caught by the wind).. Consequencly clsoing the door should have been easy (they showed her struggling). Basically the wind was blowing opposite to the way she was struggling with the door, I found this very annoying and ok...amusing.

Jonass was better. Why would you introduce an alien to a reporter? Why wouldn't you use you PR specialist for this assignment? oops plot holes, I'll move on.

ok Teal'c showed more emotion than O'Neill when Davis said Carter will likely die! I think the shippiness is dead.

Like the meancing camera guy (Ian Tracey) hopefully he will have more to do in the next ep. By the way, what happen to those guys after Jack and Teal'c zatted them?

Jonass knows alot about the ship's technology and computer codes. Jack knows the pass codes to open airlocks... they all seem awefully familar with the whole ship.

back to work.

I noticed that too but had forgotten about it. I thought strange myself and my girlfriend noticed it too (she was watching it next to me).

When Carter was struggling to get into the ship, she was crawling "outside" where there is a lot of air blowing. When she opened the door and it blew open, it was because the pressure inside the ship was greater than outside. This would cause the door to do exactly what happened in the show. Once she was "inside" and trying to close the door all the air trying to escape would make it very difficult to close it.

It might just be me, but this season I'm sensing a number of hidden references to old sci-fi shows. Maybe it's their way of giving tribute to their predecessors?

I dont think the X-303 looks like the battlestar galactica but it does look like a ship I have seen before. I just cant place a finger on it . I reckon sometime later maybe the last ever stargate ep that you'll see a fleet of them just lift up from hundreds of places in the US and Russia. It would have to be in one of the last ever eps for it to work without wrecking idea of SG1.
