Maybe you coud make a thread in which people can post, but doesn't affect their post count? There's a forum in AsciFi that does that. I'm not sure if it can be done to a single thread? Perhaps it could be set up that as well that posts 10-15 days old are automatically removed from the thread?

To be Honest. The shoutbox is shite. I don't exactly value it. Persoally I'd rather have no Spam thread...it only encourages them, but no!
