How Amanda made my day.

Well people i just got back from the FSF Amanda tapping sydney convention and let me tell you the things that that women does for the fans......I'll start my day off.
I got to the venue to wait in the blistering hot for 45mins...Jaffa, Kree was there longer then i was.....We got in and sat right on down to wait for it....Stargate infinity which we all pissed ovr self laughing at....We had some aussie author come in and talk about his books or something but i wasn't listening to that and walked out with min to get some trading cards.....we then watched Abyss which was a first time for me without squinty vision......Then came the auction which had some very cool pieces in it such as two egyptian cats and a dvd sarcophagus...then Amanda came half way through the auction and sold of her personal pieces such as a Maybe Sam carter jacket that went for $2000 (Amanda wasn't sure who's it was) The was a whats new panel but i left the room and that i don't think went for long at all.....Amanda then final got to talk and we got to see what a very cool person she really is..... She was telling us about the pranks on set and what the guys do everytime a pretty lady comes on in with DSD as a clear winner with his lines like of oh i think an angel just fell out of heaven...Shes so funny she was also telling us how Kirk came on set and she was star struck....A question was asked about online fandome and what sites she goes on.....Guess what site she said first??? You guessed it Gaters.net and we got really happy about that....On really funny thing she told us was when she would walk her dog when it was a puppy..It looked like a little bear cub so they would let it of the leash and people whould be looking for the momma bear when Amanda and her hubby would be behind the tree laughing at them....After that was a raffle and such then was a trivia thingy....i looked like such an idiot almost jumping out of my chair to answer the questions...Ask min she'll tell you.....we watched The other guys and alligence once again without squinty vision....I got amanda to sign a card that i bought of her min got her to sign and pic she got and Jaffa, kree got her to sign a bunch of things.....All in all i had one of the best days i i have had for a whicle and i laughed a whole bunch.

P.s I gave her some of my fudge...Girls did you like it??

that was the coolest thing for me today

Being the old convention hack that i am I ended up spending most of the day in the bar downstairs with some friends from BOBW for a bitch session, but i got to watch a few of the episodes, and catch up with some old friends, spend a bit of time with Minerva and Cham (you guys are great!!)..

So many hilarious stuff was said by amanda... But as per usual, i cant remember any of it. I'd forgotten about the dog thing.. LOL.

Oh yeah - she's going to be directing an episode next season!

Anyway, she's cute and sexy and funny, BUT a lot shorter/smaller than i expected her to be - and hey, i've met Teryl, so that says something!

Was worried for a while that we wouldn't be able to get autographs, but we snuck in in time, and cham - you HAVE to tell everyone what you asked her

but even so - what could she have read??? she mentioned about opinions on her hair in season 4, but.. there has been so much going on here, and we dont know a timeframe, how often she comes, or what! i was so excited, and then... so scared!

plus, if she knows about it (probably through the original sg-1.net forum thingy, or whatever it was) then who else would have come here??? MS was known to be online, so is teryl and Don, not to metion Joe and Brad having a pretty big online precense.. the mind boggles!!

I think it's good.. at least they got our real opinions and thoughts. If you knew who was reading it, you may not have posted the same.

Gaters.net is probably the most popular independant Stargate forum yeah? so if anyone searches or are linked, they would most likely end up here, ascifi, or mgm.

I wonder what she thought about that fake pic that was posted. I sooooo want her to post now... even if it's only a hello.
